MY FIRST MEETING AT DLL CLASS
Okay this is my first post in this blog. What I feel is awkward. Actually I feel quite scared and ashamed to write, let alone have to be published which can be read by everyone, even the whole world can read it. It's not why, it's just that I realize that my English ability is still weak, bad instead. I am still often wrong in grammar, diction, content, etc.
Heheheh Okay, so my first written in this blog, I want to tell about my first meeting with him, uh, I mean my first meeting in the DLL (Digital Language Literacies) class. So, the first thing that I felt was that I felt wrong in class. Ha ha ha ha. That's because I was surprised because I met new people I didn't know well (because before we did have different classes so rarely met).
Okay, now let's get to the point. So in the first meeting in the DLL class, what is certain is that we discuss learning contracts, discuss what material we will discuss in the future, Criteria and assessment standards, Lecture’s Rules, etc. Oh yes, even though it was the first meeting, but we have been given the assignment you know, huhuhuh. We are told to search (browse) about what it is / the definition of "Digital Literacy" and examples of "LMS" (Learning Management System). Each of us gave an answer.
After surfing the internet with campus wifi, I finally found the definition of DL which is "Digital literacy refers to an individual's ability to find, evaluate, and compose clear information through writing and other mediums on various digital platforms. Digital literacy is evaluated by an individual's grammar, composition, typing skills and ability to produce writings, images, audio and designsusing technology. While digital literacy initially focused on digital skills and stand-alone computers, the advent of the Internet and use of social media, has caused some of its focus to shift to mobile devices." (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_literacy).
While, the example of the LMS that I got from googling is Eliademy. It features eLearning course catalogs, eLearning assessment tools, and even a mobile Android applications for educators who wish to develop mobile learning modules for their on-the-go audiences. eLearning facilitators can simply upload and share the eLearning course with their audience immediately, as long as the learners have shared their email addresses.
